Roustabout Training
Since 1982, Doyon Drilling, Inc. and Tanana Chiefs Conference have worked in partnership
to recruit, select, train, and hire Doyon shareholders to become roustabouts.
Roustabout is an entry-level position within Doyon Drilling, Inc. This program provides
a perfect opportunity for individuals interested in careers in the oil and gas industry,
but who do not have experience on an oil rig.
Be aware that roustabout training has changed. Now, if an applicant is selected
for further review, they will go through an interview process. Finalists will be
placed in a pool and contacted for employment opportunities on an as-needed basis.
When needed, applicants will be asked to participate in a week-long class conducted
by Doyon Drilling, Inc. before going to the North Slope.
