DAY OF ANNUAL MEETING:
LIVE WEBCAST: The 2008 Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be broadcast on the Internet. To access this feature on the day of the meeting, go to www.doyon.com and click on "Live Webcast." You will be prompted for a password. Please refer to the BLUE half-sheet that was included in the proxy packet OR email am@doyon.com to request a password.
The meeting will include:
- The election of five directors who will each serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors ending in 2011.
- Subsidiary and department information tables.
- Shareholder arts and crafts tables.
Please participate in the 2008 Annual Meeting by casting your vote, either in person at the annual meeting, or by submitting your proxy by Tuesday, March 11, 2008, 5:00 p.m. (Alaska Standard Time).
It’s important to your corporation’s future that you vote. Send in your proxy today!
Please check your mailboxes as the annual report packet is being mailed to each household* and each proxy card is being mailed separately to each voting shareholder.
For the 2008 Annual Meeting materials, Doyon has once again implemented a mailing process called 'householding'.
- Householding involves mailing one Annual Report and Proxy Statement packet to each shareholder household. The number of households is approximately 8,600. Items included in this packet are: Annual Report, Proxy Statement, Doyon Foundation Annual Report, Profiles of Other Candidates and Door Prize/Information Sheet.
- Each voting shareholder (there are 12,488 on this year’s voter registration list) will receive a separately addressed and mailed proxy card. Items included in this packet are: Proxy Card, Comment Card and Business Reply Envelope.
- This process was first implemented in 2004.
Since 2004, this process has only changed once. In 2007, only one packet was mailed to each individual shareholder. This was done to ensure that each shareholder received the important information on the Enrollment vote. In 2008, we are once again returning to the householding process.
