On Tuesday, January 24, a group of new teachers from the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District visited Doyon, Limited as part of their Alaska Native studies course. Cheyenna Kuplack, Communications Manager at Doyon, presented information on the history of ANCSA and Doyon, shareholder classes, and the region. The group had a chance to ask questions throughout the presentation to get a better understanding of the area and corporation. This is the second year that Doyon has presented to new teachers in the Fairbanks area.
“Our new teachers appreciated the opportunity to meet with Doyon staff and learn directly from them about the goals of the corporation and benefits they provide to our community,” said Alicia Unruh, Professional Learning Coordinator, Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.
