Mike Irwin is 51 years of age and resides in Anchorage, Alaska. He has served on the Board of Directors since 1994 and is past Chair. He is Senior Vice President of the Alaska Federation of Natives. Mr. Irwin also serves on the Doyon Drilling, Inc. board as well as the Budget & Audit Committee. He previously worked with the First Alaskans Institute; served as Commissioner of the Department of Community and Regional Affairs, State of Alaska; Executive Director of the Joint Federal-State Commission on Policies and Programs Affecting Alaska Natives, and as Corporate Communications Director for Sealaska Corporation. Mr. Irwin served on the Board of Directors of the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, the Alaska Municipal Bond Bank Authority and the Alaska Human Resource Investment Council. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Alaska Juneau.
