Intern Success Stories
Tanya Beatus
Doyon shareholder and employee Tanya Beatus graduated from Stanford University in
December of 2004 with a bachelor’s of arts degree in economics.
Beatus currently serves as the executive assistant to the president and CEO of Doyon,
Limited. Prior to working at Doyon, Beatus worked as the Cultural Program Planner
for Tanana Chiefs Conference and the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center.
Beatus’ career began with a Doyon internship in 2002. Following her sophomore year
of college, Beatus interned on the Get Out the Native Vote campaign. The internship
helped refine her business skills through networking and organizing community events.
Most importantly, the internship provided her with a thorough introduction to Doyon,
and allowed Doyon to see where she could potentially fit into the company after
graduation.
“By employing both my parents, Doyon helped provide for my siblings and me. As a
result, I have seen the positive effect Doyon had on my family, and have always
envisioned myself growing a career here at Doyon. This career started with my internship
in 2002.” – Doyon Shareholder Tanya Beatus
