Apply for the 40th Doyon Roustabout Training Class
The application period for the 40th roustabout training is open through Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 5 p.m. AKDT.
The roustabout training is an opportunity for Doyon, Limited shareholders to attain the skills necessary to obtain an entry-level position on a Doyon Drilling oil rig. Once hired, roustabouts can work in remote areas of Alaska, primarily on a two-weeks on and off schedule. Roustabouts must have the commitment, motivation and physical strength to complete their duties, which include proper loading and unloading of materials, general maintenance and cleaning of oil rigs, and providing vital support to the drill floor crew.
The selection process is very competitive for the training program. When applying, applicants are encouraged to include as much detail as possible regarding work history, related experience, and reasons for any lapses in employment. Applicants are required to include all necessary documents, including a copy of their high school diploma. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Once submitted, applicants will receive a confirmation email that their application has been received. Applicants chosen for further review will be contacted to begin the interview process. Those selected for the program will be required to attend a five-day intensive training in Anchorage and are expected to complete training without distractions.
