Arctic IT Receives National Park Service Award
In September 2018, Doyon, Limited subsidiary, Arctic IT, was awarded a five-year blanket purchase contract with the National Park Service (NPS), a division of the U.S. Department of the Interior. The contract is to implement a new state-of-the-art Recreation Business Management System (RBMS).
Arctic IT, a Microsoft Gold Certified provider, will provide point-of-sale hardware and a Microsoft-based solution to the NPS to collect, reconcile and report on recreation fee revenue. This new system will standardize processes across the NPS systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
The contract covers 165 parks with the NPS throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Implementation will take place in a phased approach, beginning with two pilot sites. Once operational, other park sites will be added to the implementation schedule. The implementation period will take place over the next 18 – 24 months.
“We’re very proud of the Arctic IT team for winning this contract with the National Park Service,” said Aaron Schutt, Doyon president and CEO. “The work we’ll be doing has never been done before in this government space.”
In 2003, Arctic IT began providing accounting software in Anchorage. Since then, the company has expanded its offerings and footprint throughout Alaska and the Lower 48 states. Today, the company serves clients across America in multiple verticals.
Recruiting for the new contract is underway, though limited. Current openings can be viewed at www.doyon.com.
