Denakkanaaga Annual Meeting Recap
The Denakkanaaga Board of Directors held its first virtual annual meeting on June 4, 2020. The meeting was originally planned to be held in Nikolai, Alaska. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic mandates on social distancing the virtual arrangement held via tele and videoconferencing from Fairbanks, Alaska was a success. The meeting was called to order by First Chief Luke Titus, which was planned to begin at 9 am, began closer to 9:20 am, due to all the various telephonic and networking issues. Once the meeting was called to order it flowed smoothly, with motions and seconds being made from board members across the state via zoom meeting. All participants were regretful that the meeting had to occur virtually but were understanding of the social distancing requirements.

This lasted about 20 minutes. Once the judges has all tallies, reports were made of the financial stability of the organization and the elders program of which is doing very well.
