Doyon Back-to-School Fairs Held in Fairbanks and Anchorage
This past month, Doyon, Limited hosted two Back-to-School Fairs for Doyon shareholder families. Doyon looks forward to the annual events, which staff works hard to organize as a fun family outing for all attendees.
The Fairbanks event, which was held August 4 at the Doyon headquarters, set a new attendance record for the three-year event. The Doyon Facilities team hosted a barbecue for event goers, as well as fun kids games with small prizes.

The Anchorage event was held August 24 at ChangePoint Alaska, where fairgoers enjoyed sandwiches, cookies, chips and drinks. Many of the Anchorage attendees also took part in a group photo.

At both fairs, shareholder children received Doyon backpacks for school, as well as a notebook, pencil and eraser to start the year out right. Fair attendees also received a “passport,” which encouraged them to visit different booths, including a Doyon records booth, outreach booth, communications booth and Doyon Foundation booth, where they received stamps in their passports. Those in Fairbanks also had the option to go on a tour of the Doyon headquarters. Shareholders then turned in their completed passports for a chance to win door prizes.
In addition to the door prizes, Doyon gave away a basket of goodies to one lucky attendee at each event.
Doyon looks forward to hosting next year’s events in Fairbanks and the Wasilla area.
