Doyon, Limited was pleased to be involved with several important community events this past month.
Nenana Community Update for 3D Seismic Exploration


Nenana-area residents gathered at the Mitch A. Demientieff Tribal Hall on January 25 to learn more about Doyon’s winter 2017 3D seismic exploration efforts. Doyon’s senior vice president of lands and natural resources, Jim Mery, and 3D seismic project operations manager, Brad Van der Elst, presented on exploration activities in the Nenana/Minto basin near the Tanana River. Staff also answered questions regarding exploration and job opportunities for residents.
Go Red for Women
Doyon’s wellness team members attended the Go Red for Women educational seminar and luncheon to learn more about healthy lifestyles. The team will share this knowledge with Doyon staff through upcoming wellness campaigns. Funds raised from Go Red for Women go to heart disease research and prevention efforts organized by the American Heart Association.
University of Alaska Fairbanks Blue and Gold Gala
Doyon sponsored the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Blue and Gold Gala, which celebrated UAF’s 100-year birthday. In addition to the $50,000 raised through sponsorships, attendees at the event gave over $50,000 more to mark the celebratory event. Fundraising goes to support UAF students through the Centennial Scholarships and Fellowships initiative.
