Doyon in the Community
Doyon, Limited is pleased to have been involved with several important community events this past month.
On November 17, Doyon Facilities held an Indian taco lunch fundraiser at the Tanana Chiefs Conference holiday bazaar to benefit the Christmas is for Kids program. Thank you to all who supported the fundraiser by purchasing lunch and door prize tickets.
On November 18, Doyon, Limited staff and board members attended the 6th Annual Howard Rock & Ted Stevens Smokehouse Gala to benefit the First Alaskans Institute. At the gala, Doyon shareholder Poldine Carlo was presented the Howard Rock Alaska Native Leader Award. To learn more about the First Alaskans Institute, visit www.firstalaskans.org.
Doyon, Limited hosted the annual Doyon holiday bazaar in the Chiefs Court on December 8 – 9 for shareholders to sell their craft goods to visitors. Doyon Facilities also sold lunch both days of the bazaar to raise funds for the Christmas is for Kids program.
On December 22, Doyon staff sang Christmas carols in and around organizations in Fairbanks, including the Denali Center, to spread the holiday cheer.
