
Doyon in the Community
Doyon, Limited was pleased provide aid during the COVID-19 outbreak. Doyon donated $500 to each rural community school within the Doyon region. There are a total of 30 rural schools that have received donations. In addition, the Doyon Settlement Trust board of trustees approved a $200,000 distribution to support Tanana Chiefs Conference efforts to combat COVID-19 within tribes in the Doyon region. These tribes include Anvik, Grayling, Holy Cross, Shageluk, McGrath, Nikolai, Takotna, Eagle, Dot Lake, Healy Lake, Northway, Tanacross, Tetlin, Tok, Arctic Village, Beaver, Birch Creek, Chalkyitsik, Circle, Fort Yukon, Venetie, Galena, Huslia, Kaltag, Koyukuk, Nulato, Ruby, Alatna, Allakaket, Evansville, Hughes, Manley Hot Springs, Minto, Nenana, Rampart, Stevens Village, and Tanana. The distribution also supported efforts at Elder organizations, including Denakkanaaga, Inc., the Denali Center, the Yukon Koyukuk Elders Assisted Living, and the Tanana Elders home.
