Doyon Welcomes New AIT President
Doyon, Limited welcomes Arctic Information Technology, Inc. (AIT) President Bruce Hellen to the Doyon Family of Companies.
Hellen currently resides in the greater Seattle area. His passions include team building, business development, and maximizing leaders. He served our nation for 24 years in the United States Air Force, retiring in 2010 as a colonel. In his service, Hellen was a command pilot with nearly 4,000 flying hours. Additionally, he gained extensive contracting experience while managing some of the largest aviation contracts in the Department of Defense.
After retiring from the service, Hellen began his private sector career, where he directed the marketing, sales and branding strategies for a $1.5 billion company. Following this experience, Hellen led a major technological research and development project resulting in multiple patents and international recognition in 2015 as the world’s No. 1 Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) implementation program. Throughout his career in both the public and private sectors, Hellen has led numerous organizations of varying sizes, ranging from small teams of a few people to groups of over 3,500 personnel.
In addition to Hellen’s diverse and extensive professional experience, he holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Idaho. Hellen also holds a master’s and doctorate in biblical studies.
Hellen’s three leadership mottos are said to accurately describe his personality: “Treat others the way you want to be treated,” “Be disciplined, not militant,” and “Press forward, take wise risks.”
