Message to Shareholders
Our 2020 annual meeting will take place in Fairbanks at the Westmark Fairbanks Hotel on March 20, with doors opening at 8 a.m. and the meeting starting at 9 a.m.
We mailed important annual meeting and board election materials to shareholders on January 28. On January 29, we emailed the same materials to shareholders who opted-in to receive the documents electronically. Eligible voting shareholders can hand-deliver, mail, fax, email, or complete their proxy online via eProxy until March 17 at 5 p.m. AKDT. Be sure to vote by the early bird deadline of February 21 to be eligible for all prize drawings, which total $21,000.
There are nine candidates vying for five open seats on the Doyon board this year. More information and links to video interviews with each of the candidates can be found in this newsletter. Please remember to vote and encourage those around you to do the same. Every vote counts!
In addition to the election, shareholders at the annual meeting will hear reports from board and management on Doyon’s fiscal year 2019 performance, current initiatives, and keynote addresses. We’ll also present several shareholder of the year awards, including the Daaga’ Community Service, Poldine Carlo Citizen of the Year, and Hannah Paul Solomon Elder of the Year awards.
I hope to see many of you at the annual meeting. If you can’t join us in person, please consider watching the live webcast, available at www.doyon.com on the day of the meeting.
