Message to Shareholders
I hope everyone is enjoying the warm summer months! For those who spent time fishing, I hope you had success catching what you and your family needed.
I am excited to announce the artists selected for the Eighth Generation call for artists are Lacey Sam of Huslia and Emma Hildebrand of Northway. These artists will work with Eighth Generation to have wool blankets created using inspiration from their artwork. Congratulations, Lacey and Emma! More information can be found on page 8.
On July 6, I attended the Nenana-Totchaket bridge opening ceremony. This project is 40 years in the making and I am honored to have been there to watch the ribbon-cutting. More information on the Nenana-Totchaket bridge can be found on page 4.
As COVID-19 concerns grow, Doyon continues efforts to protect our shareholders, staff, and the general public from the spread of the virus by postponing the following annual events:
- 41st Roustabout Training
- Doyon Leadership Training
- Back-to-school fair
We will provide more information on when these will be rescheduled in future newsletters, on Facebook, and on the Doyon website at www.doyon.com. With more than 1,500 positive COVID-19 cases throughout Alaska, please take precautions recommended by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health and Social Services to protect yourself and your loved ones. A list of the recommended precautions can be found on page 5.
I would like to once again thank everyone for your understanding and patience during this time.
