Sonta Roach, of Shageluk, Alaska, was elected to the Doyon board of directors in March 2013. Roach serves as chair of the Shareholder Relations Committee, is on the Doyon Natural Resources Development Corporation board and the Doyon Foundation board. She is employed as an elementary teacher and previously worked as the director of Future Educators of Alaska. Roach owns her own businesses for facilitation, planning, and environmental program management. She received a bachelor’s degree in rural development from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a master of arts in elementary education at the University of Alaska Southeast.
Her term ends in 2019.
