The Doyon, Limited 2021 Annual Meeting of Shareholders was held virtually on Friday, March 19, 2021, in Fairbanks, Alaska. The theme of the meeting is “Long-Term Sustainability: Working Toward Tomorrow.”
At the meeting, four directors were elected to serve three-year terms on the Doyon Board, Walter “Wally” Carlo, Jennifer Fate, Charleen Fisher, and Christopher Simon.
The newly elected and re-elected board members will join existing board members Cheryl Cadzow, Shirley Cleaver, Sonta Hamilton-Roach, Betty Huntington, Jerry Isaac, Georgianna Lincoln, Marvin Roberts, Orie Williams, and Miranda Wright.
Items of business included the elections of four board members, a report on the companies FY20 financial performance, and shareholder of the year awards.
The pre-recorded keynote address was given by early Doyon leadership, Melvin Charlie, Sam Demientieff, Pat Frank, Michael Harper, Georgianna Lincoln, Emil Notti, Tim Wallis, and Jules Wright, who talk about the formation of the Alaska Federation of Natives, Fairbanks Native Association, incorporating Doyon, early investments, and the importance of education.

- Daaga’ Community Service: Donna Folger, Tanana,
- Hannah Solomon Elder of the Year: Clara Honea, Ruby, and Irene Roberts, Circle
- Poldine Carlo Citizen of the Year: Marie Yaska, Huslia.
In addition, longtime Doyon, Limited employee, Carole Ann Newcomer received a special recognition from the Doyon, Board of Directors.
