At the heart of safe and successful oil drilling operations are the roustabouts. The strength and stamina of these workers ensure the proper loading and unloading, general maintenance and cleaning of oil rigs and provide vital support for the drill floor crew. Through our 30 plus-year partnership with Tanana Chiefs Conference, Doyon offers Roustabout Training for shareholders with an interest in oil and gas careers, but have no prior experience working on an oil rig.
How does it work? During recruitment periods, applications will be posted HERE.
Due to COVID-19, the Roustabout Training will be postponed until 2021.
The Roustabout Training program is a very competitive program that offers free training to shareholders who are selected. When applying, applicants are encouraged to include as much detail regarding work history, related experience, and reasons for lapses in employment as possible. Applicants are required to include all necessary documents (including a copy of your high school diploma).
Once you apply, you will receive a confirmation email that your application has been received. If you are selected for further review, you will be contacted to begin the interview process. Selected applicants will be required to attend a 1-week intensive training in Anchorage.
