Save the Date for Morris Thompson Memorial Golf Classic
The 2016 Morris Thompson Memorial Golf Classic will take place June 16 and 17 in Fairbanks, Alaska, on the Chena Bend Golf Course located on Fort Wainwright. The theme of the 2016 tournament is “Drive for Success.”
VIP golfer registration opens April 15 and registration will open to the public April 29, if space is available. The field is limited to 30 teams of four, and last year sold out within two weeks! Sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, contact Doyon, Limited at 907-459-2000.
Doyon Foundation established the golf classic in honor of the late Morris Thompson, who served as the president/CEO of Doyon, Limited from 1985 until his passing in 2000. The event raises money for Doyon Foundation’s Morris Thompson competitive scholarships. Since inception, the Foundation has awarded 67 Morris Thompson scholarships totaling $169,400.
