Subsidiary News: Arctic IT Reaches Out to Nonprofits
Luncheon Focused on Current Technology Trends
Arctic Information Technology (Arctic IT), which was acquired in 2012 by Doyon, Limited and is now a wholly owned company of Doyon Government Group, provides industry-specific software and technical support to government agencies, commercial businesses and nonprofit organizations. Arctic IT proudly provides a full range of services to clients in industries such as the federal government, tribal government and gaming, nonprofit, oil and gas, transportation, and professional services.
In August, Arctic IT hosted a luncheon focusing on current trends in technology for nonprofit organizations in Anchorage. Topics at the luncheon included protecting your organization from ransomware, the advantages of cloud computing, and nonprofit-specific cost-saving options to maximize technology budgets. The luncheon was geared toward organizations seeking more information about threats to security and data protection.
“The response from the nonprofit community was even better than we expected,” said Mark Mathis, Arctic IT senior account executive. “We’ve since received several requests to host more of these types of gatherings, which means they found value in what we had to offer.”
In late September, Arctic IT also held the “Monday Night Football Security Pregame – How Prepared is Your Defensive Line?” event in Anchorage, which featured information on cyber insurance, information technology network security, and backup solutions for securing data and systems.
