Subsidiary News: Doyon Government Group Welcomes New GM

Doyon, Limited is pleased to welcome new Doyon Government Group (DGG) senior vice president and general manager (GM), William “Bill” Line. Line is responsible for developing all operation, business and strategic plans, as well as business development strategies, and guiding the DGG management team toward long-term goals set by the company.
Line has been with DGG since April 2013, first serving as director of operations for the DGG construction division. As of April 2016, Line has filled the GM position formerly held by Kevin Slattery, who retired in September 2015.
Line joined DGG with over 30 years of experience in design and construction. A registered professional engineer, an accredited professional in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and a licensed contractor in several states, Line has worked with a wide range of facility types, including numerous nationwide indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) programs and multi-million dollar projects for the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the United States Navy, as well as numerous private-sector clients.
Line earned his bachelor’s degrees in building science and mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE).
During his tenure as director of operations for DGG’s construction division, there was a significant improvement in the construction group’s Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting (CPAR) evaluations, a substantial increase in the funded federal construction contract backlog, and penetration into key new strategic markets such as the federal construction design-build medical market.
“Bill understands that it takes hard work and dedication to make sure that projects are executed well and to the customer’s satisfaction. He has proven that he understands the complexities of our current business, and the value of our employees and shareholders, and has the ability to resolve challenging issues,” stated Doyon, Limited senior vice president and chief operating officer, Julie Morman. “Working with the executive teams at Doyon, Limited and DGG, Bill will lead the overall strategic and management responsibility of DGG.”
