This fall, Doyon will begin accepting applications for the Descendant Registry: a program designed to help eligible descendants stay connected to Doyon while creating opportunities for future generations.
Although applications are not yet open, now is the perfect time to prepare by gathering the documents you’ll need to apply.
Registered descendants receive:
- Descendant hiring preference
- Workforce development and training opportunities
- Internship opportunities
- Doyon newsletters and business updates
- Opportunities to be featured in Descendant Spotlights on Doyon’s website, newsletter, and social media
- Eligibility for select promotions and giveaways
Start Preparing Today
Gathering official records can take time, so Doyon encourages eligible descendants to begin collecting their documentation now.
Every applicant must provide:
- A certified (government-issued) birth certificate
- Parent’s certified birth certificate(s)
Depending on how you are descended from the original Doyon shareholder, additional documentation may also be required to verify your Alaska Native lineage, including:
- Grandparent’s certified birth certificate(s)
- Marriage certificate(s)
- Adoption decree(s)
- Court-ordered name change documents
- Other supporting documentation, if applicable
