Voices of our Future

“Doyon to me is a part of who I am. It is a part of my past, my present, and also my future. It means being a part of something that my Elders and role models worked so hard to accomplish.”

shareholder spotlight

Doyon welcomes nominations for the shareholder spotlight featured monthly in the Doyon e-newsletter and quarterly in the printed newsletter.

The shareholder spotlights, implemented in June 2013, have previously recognized individuals, Doyon shareholder interns, facilities training graduates, and Doyon Foundation alumni.

To be considered for a spotlight, nominees should meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Doyon shareholder
  • Be 16 years of age or older; those under 18 will need parent/guardian permission to be featured
  • Be nominated for an extraordinary accomplishment/talent/lifestyle (i.e., perpetuating or teaching cultural traditions, accomplishing a significant professional, educational, or extracurricular achievement, etc.)
  • Actively contribute to the social and economic well-being of Alaska Natives
  • Uphold the Doyon mission and values

Military Appreciation Book

It is an honor and privilege to recognize our shareholders who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Regardless of which branch or how many years you served, raising your hand and pledging yourself to service in the military is a selfless act.

Doyon has published it’s fourth military appreciation book to honor and remember the achievements, courage, and dedication of our shareholder veterans and service members. This is a small way we can honor those who have served selflessly so that we can live in freedom.

Doyon will continually add new submissions to the electronic book to print annually.
