The Descendant Registry is an investment in the future of our people. While it is not shareholder enrollment, the registry connects with future generations, ensuring descendants have access to information and are eligible for workforce development, trainings, internships, and other programs designed to strengthen our communities for years to come.
The Descendant Registry application will be available on this webpage beginning in fall 2026, when registration officially opens.
To prepare for registration, Doyon encourages descendants to begin gathering the required documents now, including any original certified birth certificates. Please refer to the FAQs below.

ELIGIBILITY
To qualify, you must:
- Be an Alaska Native descendant of an original owner of Doyon Class A, B, C, or D shares. There is no Alaska Native minimum blood quantum requirement.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Born after December 18, 1971.
- Not enrolled with another Alaska Native Regional Corporation, Tetlin Native Corporation, Native Village of Venetie Tribal Government, or Metlakatla.
How to apply
The Descendant Registry application will be available on this webpage beginning in fall 2026, when registration officially opens.
- Complete the Descendant Registry application.
- Provide a certified (government-issued) birth certificate showing your relationship to an original Doyon shareholder.
- If applicable, include supporting legal documents such as marriage certificates, adoption decrees, or court-ordered name change documents.
- Submit your completed application and supporting documentation to Doyon.
Applications that are incomplete or submitted without all required certified birth certificate within 30 days cannot be processed and will be returned.

Descendants who are already Doyon shareholders through gifting or inheritance do not need to register.

- If applicable, include supporting legal documents such as marriage certificates, adoption decrees, or court-ordered name change documents.
- Submit your completed application and supporting documentation to Doyon.
