There will be four open seats on the Doyon, Limited Board of Directors in March 2027. All qualified shareholders are encouraged to consider applying as candidates.
- Each seat is for a three-year term, ending in March 2030.
- Shareholders will vote to fill the open seats at the 2027 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled for Friday, March 12, 2027.
- The seats are currently held by Walter “Wally” Carlo, Dr. Charleen C. Fisher, Ph.D., Audrey George, and Christopher Simon whose terms expire at the 2027 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
- Based on the current number of shares held by rural shareholders, no rural directors are required to be elected at the March 2027 Annual Meeting. However, there is no limit to the number of rural directors that can be elected. Rural residence is defined in Doyon’s articles of incorporation as a resident within the Tanana Chiefs Conference region and outside of the Fairbanks North
Star Borough.
Candidate Qualification
To be qualified, a candidate must be a voting Doyon shareholder who is at least 18 years of age.
Application Deadline
In order to be listed as a candidate in Doyon’s proxy materials, a shareholder must submit an online or printed board candidate application by Monday, October 5, 2026. The forms must be received by Doyon no later than 5:00 p.m. AKDT on this day. Please note that this deadline is a receipt deadline, not a mailing or postmark deadline.
