Interior Native Vote (INV) recently hosted two candidate mixers to provide voters with opportunities to connect directly with candidates and learn more ahead of the upcoming elections.
The first mixer, held July 21, featured candidates for State House and Senate seats. On August 5, INV hosted a second mixer for gubernatorial candidates. Both events gave attendees an opportunity to meet candidates, ask questions, hear directly about issues affecting communities across Interior Alaska, and become more informed before casting their ballots.
Interior Native Vote appreciates everyone who took the time to participate, engage in thoughtful conversations, and learn more about the candidates and issues on the ballot. We also thank the candidates who attended and made time to speak directly with voters.
Interior Native Vote is a nonpartisan effort among Doyon, Tanana Chiefs Conference, Interior Regional Housing Authority, Fairbanks Native Association, and others to encourage civic participation and voting throughout Interior Alaska.
