Jonathan Moses 01/17/46 – 10/09/2024

John has left this earth and joined his wife ‘Cookie’ (Elizabeth) in heaven. He was born in Allakaket, Alaska to the late Jeanne Stevens and late Tony Moses.

John served in the Air Force from 1965 to 1969 (active) and was in reserve until 1971. He was stationed in Japan, Germany then Massachusetts. Massachusetts is where he met and fell in love with Cookie. They were married and made their home in Delta then moved to Fairbanks. John was a master carpenter and was part of the carpenters union working at the North Slope. He built camps along the Alaska Pipeline, worked on the Bassett Army hospital, helped rebuild in Kauai, Hawaii after a hurricane and rebuild in Allakaket, Alaska after major flooding.

John was a loving husband to Cookie and enjoyed raising their children Michele, Dennis, Johnni and Charlotte. He enjoyed riding his Harley and playing pool.

John was predeceased by his mom, Jeanne Stevens; dad, Tony Moses; brother, Brett Lee Stevens; and sister, Myrtle Beham.

John is survived by his Aunt Marian Van Horne; brothers Gary Stevens and Robert Stevens; sisters Cathi Edwardson, Sheryl Meierotto, and Alisa Stevens; children Michele Leedom, Dennis Moses, Johnni Moses and Charlotte Moses; grandchildren Grace, Andria, James, Teresa, Rebecca, Denise and Dennis; and many nieces and nephews.

Service and visitation will be at the Chapel of Chimes, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
