Carissa Young brings fun and modern party supplies to the Interior. Young grew up in Fairbanks, AK. Her father is Jimmy Young, and her grandfather is Patrick Young.
Young, her brother, Chad, and his wife, Ashly, recently opened Partymore, a store that will provide quality Alaskan made party supplies and balloons to bring celebrations to life.
“Partymore began through Nuori Creations balloon business. Over time, it blossomed into Partymore. I have always loved parties and party supplies. My mom and aunts always threw the best birthdays and get-togethers growing up and I got a lot of their creativity. After my mom passed away in 2017, I knew I wanted to create a living for myself doing something creative. That’s why Partymore was born and my brother, Chad, and sister in law, Ashly, became a part of it. To be a fully family owned small business,” said Young.
The trio’s goal for Partymore is to embrace and enrich their community through party goods.
“Alaskans have so much to celebrate every day – in our community, in bigger cities, and in rural villages – and we want everyone to have access to quality and unique party goods for any event whether that be a wedding, potlatch, birthday, or fundraiser,” said Young.
Young’s advice to the younger generation about opening a business is “go for it and don’t let people tell you that you can’t.”
