On Friday, October 6, the Alaska Travel Industry Association (ATIA) announced Jordan Sanford, Kantishna Roadhouse General Manager, will be joining their board later this month.
In July, ATIA voted to create a dedicated seat for an individual who is a shareholder of an Alaska Native Corporation or a member of a federally recognized nation in Alaska.
“We are deeply proud of Jordan for her commitment to tourism across Alaska,” said Julie Morman, Doyon, Limited Chief Operating Officer. “Her experience and knowledge will be an asset to ATIA as they continue to promote and advocate for cultural and sustainable tourism.”
“I am honored to be selected to join the ATIA board. I’m proud to represent and advocate for cultural tourism in the Interior and beyond,” said Sanford. “I’m equally as excited for the opportunity to listen and learn from new and long-time board members.”
Sanford is the General Manager of Kantishna Roadhouse and Northern Laundry Services, LLC, both wholly-owned subsidiaries of Doyon, Limited.
Sanford joined the Doyon Family of Companies as an intern in 2010 and worked in the Shareholder Records Department and the Administration Department serving as the Executive Assistant to the President and Chief Executive Officer before transitioning to Northern Laundry Services, LLC. During her time in Administration, she chaired the Morris Thompson Memorial Golf Classic and the Alaska Federation of Natives convention planning committees and served on several other committees on behalf of Doyon. Sanford currently serves as a Board Member for Discover Denali and volunteers her time with youth sports.
Sanford is an Upper Tanana Athabascan and was raised in Tok, Alaska. She resides in Fairbanks with her son, River.
